Find Your Artist Super Hero – Grown Up Art for Children

With Fiona Bickmore

Let your children come and find their inner Artist Super Hero!  From Colour King Hockney to Backstreet Banksy together we will look and learn all about artists old and new as well as discover and create our very own masterpieces.

Fiona Bickmore is passionate about teaching art to children. She encourages pupils to explore how pictures tells a variety of stories which can’t always be put into words.

These two classes look at different artists, what their art is about and how they produce it. And, importantly, how artists use their work as a voice, placing them in context, historically, culturally, and geographically.

In a group ideas are shared and built upon. It is an unusual opportunity for children to chat about art, finding new words, new ideas and a new confidence. Then they will produce their own work, thinking about the artists they have looked at, their group discussions and any other things they want to say.
