Autumn Painting Workshops

In autumn, consider starting new artistic endeavors, or enhancing your skills through various workshops. Courses include Beginners Oil Painting Parts I and II, exploring equipment and color mixing. On the Shoulders of Giants, Poussin, is a study of his influence on artists. Additionally, a Still Life workshop aims to encourage creativity and experimentation.

Line, Shape, Colour

Kate Measham’s upcoming exhibition at the Made in the Pewsey Vale Gallery starts in December, featuring lino prints, Christmas cards, and paintings, with an online catalogue available for those unable to attend. Future workshops in 2025 will explore landscape and portrait painting in Andalucia. Additionally, various painting courses will begin in January, focusing on new or fresh starts and challenging work.

Trees – Portrait or Symbol?

Poets, writers, and artists of all sorts have been inspired by trees. Their majesty, age, embrace, rise and fall with seasons, the bleakness of a dying tree and the wonder of new growth have inspired people in a variety of ways. This course offers a fresh look, exploring different approaches with reference to creative giants over a great spread of time.
If you have followed any of our ‘On the Shoulders of Giants’ workshops you may recognise a similarity – instead of working from one artist we are examining one theme.
