What to expect from this workshop

This studio based intermediate course is grounded firmly in drawing, technique development and wet wash skills.

You will be working from your own images, sketches, and photo ideas that you have done previously. Christine would like you to bring a number of these images to work from and develop further. Old sketchbooks and photographs are a great place to start.

You will be encouraged to think about a number of fresh ways to take your work in a new direction – thinking about size, colour, composition, brush skill, or any of a number of other approaches – or a bit of everything…

Your tutor will inject plenty of inspiration and practical support and guide your personal journey throughout. You’ll be encouraged to work both with consideration and with spontaneity. Your take on colour, painting size or brush skill may be gently rearranged by the end of this course!

Christine’s work is an exciting contemporary look at watercolours and interpretation of the natural environment. She encourages intuitive expressive work based on solid technique.
