Three Classes, Three Different Approaches to Colour
Feb 16th, 23rd and March 2nd.

If you have done the Beginners Oil Painting class the question is what to do next. On this course you will start to look at colour.
Colour is a huge topic. You will start by looking at three different approaches: at painting with a limited palette, alla prima and a variation of ‘on the shoulders of giants’.
Sometimes limitations are liberating, sometimes total freedom is exciting, and sometimes exploring the work of other artists shows you a new path. You will see that you are the master of your painting and you can paint any way you want…with a bit of practise.
I will suggest a list of equipment. There will be essentials, and others, less essential you might feel inclined to add to you supplies.
Christmas is over. It is time for new year’s resolutions…so what are you going to choose? Are you a ‘giver-upper’? Will it be… no more chocolate – ever? Or do you try something new…a ‘taker-upper’?
Surprisingly, the beach photo from Norfolk was taken in January 2018. How about some blue sky thinking for 2019? (try not to focus on the clouds…just enjoy the possibilities)
Oil Painting for Beginners, January 2019
You will start at the very beginning, learning about the equipment, how to mix paints and what to do next. You will be looking at tone and become used to working with oils. After these three days you will be launched into the world of oil painting.
It will be in a fun and supportive atmosphere, though possibly a bit messy. Everyone is welcome.

This is VERY flexible. You can book in for a 1 day course, 5 separate 1 day courses, a week or the whole 5 weeks (20% reduction if you commit to the whole course). Almost any combination you can think of is possible.
If you want to try the introduction week before you book for the whole 5 weeks you will still qualify for the 20% reduction…
