Autumn Painting Workshops

In autumn, consider starting new artistic endeavors, or enhancing your skills through various workshops. Courses include Beginners Oil Painting Parts I and II, exploring equipment and color mixing. An Introduction to Drawing: Measured, Intuitive, Expressive

This drawing course, led by Kate Measham, encourages participants to embrace creativity through various techniques and materials. Covering important aspects of drawing, each session highlights different artists’ works for inspiration. Open to all levels, it emphasizes enjoyment in the artistic process, with workshops scheduled for January at The Glasshouse, Stockbridge.

Line, Shape, Colour

Kate Measham’s upcoming exhibition at the Made in the Pewsey Vale Gallery starts in December, featuring lino prints, Christmas cards, and paintings, with an online catalogue available for those unable to attend. Future workshops in 2025 will explore landscape and portrait painting in Andalucia. Additionally, various painting courses will begin in January, focusing on new or fresh starts and challenging work.

Sketch and Stroll at Stourhead (NT)

Architect Eleanor Measham leads a Sketch and Stroll at Stourhead workshop on May 13th, 2024. The workshop offers a guided springtime walk through an 18th-century English garden, where participants will create quick sketches at various stops and later choose one for further study. All abilities are welcome, and participants are encouraged to bring their preferred sketch materials.
