ONLINE COURSES
Starting in September 2023 there will be a series of ‘On the Shoulders of Giants’ workshops for you to choose from. These will be taught be different tutors, online and recorded.
Museums and galleries often have accessible catalogues of treasures, sculptures and paintings available at the click of a button. This is a wonderful way to explore creative work from across the world.
You can build your work on the ‘Shoulders of Giants’. These workshops are about looking at the fantastic creative works available and using them to your advantage. It is not about copying. By the end of this class you will be on your way to making something new that will be entirely your own.
Materials
- sketch books
- drawing materials, pencils, charcoal etc
- large cartridge paper, a few sheets
- quick and easy paints or something to apply colour
Don’t let yourself feel you know the direction you wish to take before you start the process. Be prepared to explore, investigate and let the picture lead you in a new direction.
