Around the corner from where I’m staying is the Museum of Archeology and Anthropology. A board on the damp street promised an exhibition about Colour.
A one room exhibition is always going to be limited, however a painting in a dark corner caught my attention. A sketch by pointillist, Georges Seurat, in preparation for ‘A Sunday on La Grande Jette,’ with loose, descriptive brushstrokes and canvas showing through.
