The Neck, Saunders Island. (Print image at the top of the page)
The Neck is a thin headland on the North West point of Saunders Island which is situated to the north of West Falkland in the Falkland Islands. In a remote country it’s about as remote as you can get.
Saunders Island is 50 square miles and home to 4 people and 6000 sheep.
Katherine was lucky enough to visit this beautiful place while on a Shackleton Scholarship to the Islands in 2017. The whole island was breathtakingly beautiful and she saw King Penguins on the beach.
