What to Expect on this Illustration Course

This is a course that encourages you to be as imaginative as possible. It is surprisingly rare that you are asked to explore, invent, play, and experiment, but isn’t this what being creative is all about?

Over 5 weeks you will follow different projects and approaches. Let your imagination run wild and learn how to share your vision or narritive.

Learn the building blocks of illustration through different projects over the five weeks of this course.

You will be introduced to drawing methods, various materials and techniques, and reminded about the role of imagination in creating a story.

The joy of illustration is the visual narrative…a good illustration tells a story at a glance.

The basic materials you need to supply are:

  • mechanical/propelling pencils (you can buy a pack of disposable ones from Tescos or WH Smiths)
