Still Life, Colour and Composition

The workshop “Still Life, Colour and Composition,” led by Kate Measham on 12th and 26th November 2025 at Mottisfont Village Hall, invites participants to explore innovative approaches to still life painting. Aimed at those with some painting experience, it emphasizes play and experimentation, helping attendees break free from creative ruts. All materials can be used, however Kate will focus on oil paints and diverse sketching tools.

Oil Painting, New Year, New Directions

Enroll in a four-week oil painting course starting January 27, 2025, at Mottisfont Village Hall, led by Kate Measham. Designed for those with some experience, the course emphasizes creativity, experimentation, and enjoyment of painting. Each session focuses on different themes, including still life and landscapes. The total cost is £320, with individual sessions available for £90. Participants need to bring various oil paint materials and will be encouraged to learn from their mistakes while engaging in dynamic exercises.

Line, Shape, Colour

Kate Measham’s upcoming exhibition at the Made in the Pewsey Vale Gallery starts in December, featuring lino prints, Christmas cards, and paintings, with an online catalogue available for those unable to attend. Future workshops in 2025 will explore landscape and portrait painting in Andalucia. Additionally, various painting courses will begin in January, focusing on new or fresh starts and challenging work.
