Kate Measham
The subjects in Kate’s work include everyday domestic objects, woodland, rivers and cafe scenes; she is constantly sketching and painting her surroundings. Repetition and constant engagement with a few objects elevates the ordinary to something intriguing and new. Her apparently free approach includes repeated measuring and careful mixing of colours from a very limited palette.
Kate has been teaching in Hampshire and beyond for the past 20 years. She finds artists at the top of their fields to join her at Artdrawpaint and to share their skills in courses, workshops and Masterclasses. Internationally Kate takes groups to Spain annually on drawing and painting retreats.
You will see Kate’ work prolifically on Instagram and she has had exhibitions in Hampshire (Josie Eastwood Gallery in Longstock) and at the Mall Galleries London, Thelma Hulbert, Green and Stone, The Angelus Gallery, Fisherton Mill, and various other exhibition spaces.
