As we get near the Easter holidays it is a good moment to tell you about what is coming up over the next few months. We are very excited by the talented tutors and variety of workshops
Category: expressive drawing
We want to celebrate our glorious landscape, the river Dever, chalk flora, trees, hills, paths and byways. We have gathered an outstanding group of tutors who will bring their individual approaches to the theme of Landscape in June.
The Ancient woodland of chalk downs, where Hampshire and Wiltshire meet, is a magical place. From the top edge of this wood you can see Stockbridge Down, Danebury Ring, and other hill top strongholds. Walking through the woods you have a sense of other travellers, others walking through and working in the space. Coppicing and charcoal burning, for example, is still practised as it has been for centuries.
This workshop will take you through the process of drawing for printmaking, and progressing from initial drawing exercises through to a finished 2 colour linocut.
