At the The Studio, Bransbury, SO21 3QJ
- Sunday September 15th, 2019, 10.00am – 4.30pm
- £125/day, including materials, model and a light lunch

Life drawing and modelling from life are very different things.
In this class you will start with observation, sketching the model from all angles. This is part of your study of the body, of shape and proportions.
You will spend the morning measuring and understanding how the model’s body works. Then in the afternoon you will use wax to form the likeness using your sketches and the model as reference.
During the workshop you will try a variety of modelling tools, explore and experiment with the materials and simply ‘have a go’. This workshop is about gaining confidence in observation, your materials and the tools.
No previous experience is necessary, but if you have modelled before it’s a great opportunity to practise, and extend your skills.
We will provide: 3-kilo wax, armature, sculpting tools, sculpting stand, drinks and light lunch. Sculpting is physical and messy – we suggest you wear old clothes and bring an apron.
Abeer Elkhateb will be your tutor guiding you with his expertise throughout the day.
