Life Drawing – Poses from the Masters

Sept 21st, October 5th, and 19th, 6.00pm – 9.00pm

£90/3

Last weekend I went to see the magnificent Raphael exhibition at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. Ashmolean Museum.

As you look at his drawings you feel as though Raphael is in the seat next to you; his observations, corrections, alterations and thoughts are as clear now as they were hundreds of years ago.

Over these three days you will draw a model adopting poses from Masters of Drawing.  This is not so you can draw in the same style, but so the poses can inspire you, and you can find your own line.

I want to use Raphael as one of our guides. I am open to ideas for both Old Masters and Contemporary master artists. Henry Moore, Euan Uglow, Poussin, Rodin – please feel free to leave suggestions or comments.
