Taking inspiration from both real and imagined landscapes this paper-based drawing and painting course will use the shapes, colours, motifs and patterns found in our surroundings as a starting point for a series of abstract or semi-abstract works.
- Tutor, Annabel Tilley
- Tuesday 7 & Wednesday 8 June
- 10.00 – 4.00pm
- £180/2days
- water-based mixed-media like watercolour, gouache, acrylic, collage and drawing
- Suitable for all
Working in water-based mixed-media like watercolour, gouache, acrylic, collage and drawing you will create a series of experimental works that consider how pattern and decoration can become part of the landscape.

What to expect on this Imaginary Landscape workshop
Annabel Tilley will lead you through a series of exercises that will introduce you to the various ways that pattern can add variety and enhance a drawing or painting.
By the end of the course, you will have been introduced to the work of artists who use pattern; and you will leave the workshop with new and experimental work and ideas about how pattern can be included to transform your drawing and painting.
