Art in a beautiful riverside location on the banks of the River Dever, Test Valley, Hampshire

Our studio is on the banks of the River Dever, a chalk stream that runs into the River Test in the heart of the Test Valley. This beautiful and evocative site is the inspiration for many of our classes, and our August workshops are no exception. All workshops will take their inspiration from the surroundings and some will involve exploring the outdoors.

I would love to live like a river flows,

carried by the surprise of its own unfolding

Try something new with Hampshire Art studio. This August join us for two weeks of workshops with new tutors, discovering new materials, and exploring different methods. There will be classes in many different media for adults, and a special day for children.

Come back for Hampshire Open Studios, and see a gallery of works and join our Community Drawing Project. All visitors will be encouraged to add to our almost life sized drawing of the River Dever as viewed from the Studio.

These courses are designed to encourage you to try something you haven’t done before. Materials are included in all courses so you can turn up with an overall, and a sandwich for lunch…everything else will be there and ready for you.
