BIG…think big

Start January with a fun day drawing huge drawings.

Think Big

  • Tuesday 5th January, 9.30am – 4.30pm
  • £60/person (or £110 for 2)
  • Materials will be provided.
  • Coffee and Tea readily available, please bring something to eat for lunch.

It can get a bit boring doing all your drawings about the same size. In this class you will be doing huge drawings (about 4′ x 4′).

The class is a perfect way to start the new year, kick off the post Christmas exhaustion and try something a bit different.

It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner, or you have never drawn larger than A4 …before you know it you will be stretching through an aerobic workout (bye bye mince pie), reaching areas of paper you hadn’t contemplated before. There will be elements of mixed media, and various different drawing techniques.

Past classes have danced their way through back catalogues of 70s music from Jackie, whist drawing mammoth vegetable. Bring along a friend or family member and have a bit of January fun.

Book yourself a place on the course as a post Christmas/post New Year recovery plan – or just for fun.

Oil Painting – getting started

The Early Years

Painting is one of those things that many people say they are going to ‘get around to it sometime’. Now is the moment.

The world of oil painting is vast, exciting and relatively straight forward. Once you learn the basic methods you will be able to tackle anything.

If you have had little, or no experience of painting in oils this is the class for you. If you have come to previous oil painting classes with me this could also be the class for you. Basic principles will be introduced and reinforced. As with all things, practise makes painting easier.

Class Dates

January: 12,19,26, February: 2, 9, 23, March: 1 and 8

£260/course (if you want to use 12th January as a taster day – £40)
